What is the best stock trading simulator software?

Friday, July 24th, 2009 | Finance | 2 Comments

I want a powerful stock trading software program that I can practice with that is the real deal (or as close to it as possible).

Hi Scott

There are several virtual trading platforms out there that will allow you to test out your trading strategies. They typically give you a set amount of "virtual money" to place pseudo trades with, using delayed stock market quotes.

Scottrade.com has a virtual trading platform you can use. Go to Scottrade.com>Trading Platforms> ScottradeELITE> See the Demo, or go to this url: http://www.scottradeelite.com/register.asp. Once you’ve registered, they start you out with $100,000 of virtual money. (The terms and conditions can be found on that same page.)

Good luck to you!
(p.s. I posted this information under your other question as well.)

What is stem cell research and how is it connected to abortions?

Friday, July 24th, 2009 | Research | 7 Comments

I hear that abortions can be good in the sense of stem cell research.
But I do not know what that is, so if someone could explain to me what it is and how abortion would benefit for stem cell research that would be great. Thanks!

The problem came up when they were creating stem cells in a lab, they beleive that destroying stem cells is like destroying life. But now they can get stem cells from living tissue or the yummy leftovers after a birth so there is no need to create them just to destroy them.

When writing a research paper, do you need to cite outside knowledge?

Friday, July 24th, 2009 | Research | 2 Comments

I know that in a research paper, citations must be made for sources. Also, in a DBQ (Document Based Essay), outside information must be cited. So in a research paper, must you cite information that you already knew?

If you already know it and most people do too, then it does not have to be cited. If it is knowledge that is only found in a few places or not common knowledge, then cite it for sure.

What research has been conducted in the field of stem cells and what are the summarised results?

Friday, July 24th, 2009 | Research | 2 Comments

I want to know more about this field but need a basic knowledge. I also want to know about HOW these results were achieved. Has there been any revolutionary scientific breakthroughs either in stem cell research. And could anyone please inform me about how far we off maybe curing cancer or regrowing USABLE nerve cells and any key info on either of these subjects.

Thanks.

Stem cells include a complete set of DNA of the donor and can be rejected (as any donated tissue) by another recipient and there are concerns that they can cause malignant cancers. Much remains to be learned about them and they must be used in patients only with great caution.
